Outsmarting Him Twice

Gu Ding did not know where his opponent was hiding, and Sea Emperor did not seem inclined to remind him. He knew there was no need.

Gu Ding pretended not to know he was being watched and continued diving deeper into the sea. However, the figure in the darkness did not make a move, as though waiting for something.

"Be a little careful. There's a Carnivorous Seaweed Cluster not far below. It'll be troublesome if you get tangled up in it," Sea Emperor suddenly warned.

Hearing that, Gu Ding accelerated his descent. In mere moments, he reached the area covered by the seaweed cluster. With a grin, his figure gradually faded away, and even his aura quickly vanished.

Hake had specifically taught everyone this concealment technique before they entered this secret realm. Every member of the team knew it. Its purpose was to help them avoid unnecessary battles and conserve their strength.

Almost the instant Gu Ding disappeared, a shadowy figure rapidly descended nearby.

"Huh? Where did he go?" The shadow looked around but failed to find Gu Ding, clearly taken aback.

Seeing the wildly swaying seaweed cluster nearby, he hesitated. "Did he hide inside the seaweed? But I don't know whether there's any danger lurking in there..."

"Why not go in and find out?" As the shadow heard a voice behind him, a tremendous force struck his backside. He shot forward like a cannonball, unable to stop himself, and plunged headfirst into the seaweed cluster. In an instant, the seaweed wrapped around him and dragged him into its depths.

"That was a pretty underhanded move." Sea Emperor had clearly witnessed the scene and could not help laughing.

"I only kicked him in the butt to teach him a lesson. Though I might have used a little too much force."
