Blood Demons were peculiar Variant Lifeforms. They gained sentience from vast quantities of blood before condensing bodies and taking shape. As a result, their bodies possessed an eerie liquid form and were nearly completely immune to physical attacks. Since they were directly born from pure bloodline energy, they had no souls and were likewise immune to soul attacks.
Only a very small number of methods could harm them, such as various Martial Dao Intents and elemental mysteries. Among them, Miko's Barrier Power was also one of the rare energies in the world capable of harming them.
Blood Demons generally took on different forms depending on the kinds of blood that made them up. Those formed from human blood usually ended up resembling humans.
