When they followed Crowley to Mingtai Pavilion, Gu Ding and the others finally saw its true appearance.
It was an enormous tower that soared into the clouds, layer upon layer. Every floor, even every room, was arranged in strange forms, utterly defying common sense. Yet stacked together, it resembled an incomparably vast mountain range.

"These aren't secret manuals. They're merely miscellaneous books I've collected over the years," Crowley said with a shake of his head and a smile. "Only the top three levels contain secret manuals."
