Seeing Princess Elizabeth earnestly painting such a rosy picture for him, Jiang Che found it both amusing and absurd, and somehow thought she was rather cute.

As they chatted, Granny Wang quickly finished making breakfast and brought it over to them.

"What a sweet talker." Granny Wang beamed like a chrysanthemum and waved her hand repeatedly. "Why are you being so polite with Auntie Wang? We're old acquaintances."

"If it weren't for you, Little Jiang, my daughter wouldn't have gotten into such an excellent top university as Southeast University! If anyone should be thanking someone, it should be Auntie Wang thanking you."

"By the way, do you still have any of those pickled vegetables at home? Does your father like them? Does he want more? As long as you say the word, Little Jiang, you can have as much as you want!"

"Then I really will have to trouble you, Auntie Wang. My father does indeed like the pickled vegetables you make."

"Then that's settled, that's settled. Wait here..." With that, Granny Wang left again to prepare some jars of pickled vegetables for Jiang Che.
