After about an hour, the guards returned to Ye Beichen's cell.
"9647! Your transfer request has been approved. We plan to move you to Cell No. 3 now. Any objections?"
"No, no! Thank you! As long as I can leave this cell, anything is fine! You can even put me in solitary confinement!"
Ye Beichen was so excited that tears streamed down his face. He thanked them repeatedly and, supported by two guards, barely managed to get to his feet before shakily making his way toward Cell No. 3.
When they arrived at the barred window of Cell No. 3, the guards first inspected the surroundings inside. Only after confirming everything was in order did they open the door and lead Ye Beichen in.
"He's 9647, a prisoner who was just brought in. Get along peacefully and don't cause trouble!"
After giving the usual warning and properly settling Ye Beichen onto a bunk, the three guards turned and left, locking the iron cell door behind them.
Once the guards had left, Ye Beichen, determined to get along with his new cellmates, lay facedown on the wooden bed. He forced a smile, laboriously turned his head toward the prisoners behind him, and introduced himself. "Hello, brothers... I'm Ye Beichen. From now on, I..."
Before he could finish, the smile on Ye Beichen's face abruptly froze.
He discovered that the seven burly men behind him were staring at him with heated looks in their eyes. They rubbed their hands together and muttered among themselves.
"Hehe... this newcomer has a nice figure. Soft, smooth skin too. I like him!"
"A fresh young piece? Just my type!"
