Ronan released his mental senses, and everyone around him felt it.

"Hey, you're being way too arrogant!" Zhang Yingying shuddered, instinctively wanting to unleash White Rainbow sword qi to ward off the penetrating effects of Soul Power.

After barely restraining herself, she rolled her eyes at Ronan. "Master, everyone knows you can play around in the Abyss Zone whenever you want. Could you stop competing with us ordinary people for territory?"

Bamboo Pole caught the implication. "This is the kind of sensing Cat's Eye uses, right? An Interference Wave close to the Material Layer. The range is limited."

"It needs precision," Ronan explained simply.

Zhang Yingying raised her brows. "You found a lead? It's nearby? That Pharmacist?"

It was only natural for her to think so. The closer Soul Power was to the Material Layer, the greater the interference loss. Affected by the arrangement of buildings and objects in the Material Layer, it weakened rapidly, and its sensing range was limited. In return, though, it could grasp details of the Material Layer with greater accuracy.

Take Cat's Eye, Xia City's most proficient Ability User in this kind of sensing. Even with her rapid recent progress, the radius of her mental senses was still only around a hundred meters.

As for Ronan, back at the Ke Wang Communications Building, when he had wiped out the Rat Tide, his effective kill radius had been an astonishing three hundred meters—more than triple Cat's Eye's. However, Zhang Yingying had once heard the Martial Emperor mention that the gap between Ronan and Cat's Eye was on an entirely different order of magnitude.

So what was it? Ten times? Twenty times? Or a hundred times, enough to break through the heavens?

"The Pharmacist? No, I haven't seen him yet. Besides, I'm more interested in the structure."
