Yin Le's fingers and toes went cold and stiff. She forced herself not to look at the Work Area interface while using mental control and a gradual fade-out switching mode to push an irrelevant set of graphic data to the forefront as discreetly as possible.
The process went fairly smoothly. At least Ronan had not called her out on it. Maybe he had not noticed? Yet his will continued tracing patterns across their Mental Layer, forming a clear message:
"Why did you seek me out? What do you intend to discuss?"
A reasonable question, seemingly casual and effortless. Yet this very approach carried the most unimaginable pressure. Yin Le suddenly understood the significance hidden in Ronan's ability to communicate across such a distance.
Eighty kilometers! Perhaps there were a few Extraordinary Species on the Mental Side in the world who could extend their attack range this far, even ten or twenty times farther. But they would inevitably have to use Abyss Zone Configurations to stir up storm currents, and they would certainly leave corresponding traces.
Whether the Blood Soul Temple solidified in the Abyss Zone could withstand it was one matter; whether it would provide a warning was another.
Yet when Ronan's will intruded, the Blood Soul Temple gave no response at all. There were only two possibilities: either Ronan's command over Abyss Zone Storm currents had reached a miraculous level, placing him above the vast majority of Extraordinary Species and far beyond the Blood Soul Temple's level; or he had not used the Abyss Zone at all, instead relying on pure Soul Power to spread his mental network over this region, capture the Mental Domains of the Blood Flame Order's two high priests, and effectively interfere with them.
Either possibility possessed terrifying power capable of shattering common sense. Yin
