After hovering in the air for about twenty seconds, the three-hundred-kilogram amalgam of steel and flesh turned naturally and landed on the yacht's upper deck.
The already cramped upper deck was divided into a sun deck and a driving area. The latter could barely accommodate an Exoskeleton Armor, so Ronan naturally chose to land on the sun deck, crowding Yin Le's space and giving her considerable pressure.
Yet Yin Le did not step back. She trusted Ronan's control skills, and she needed to show that trust.
When the Exoskeleton Armor finally came to a stop, the blade protruding from its side arm was only a dozen centimeters from Yin Le's face. The powerful electromagnetic field, the interactive interference between mind and matter, the whine of the machinery, and the fine grinding of metal components all blended into a reverberation that drove the surrounding air molecules into repeated vibrations, making her whole body tingle as though shocked—because she was, in fact, being shocked.
A wave of heat followed. The flesh-and-tendon membrane on the outermost layer of the Exoskeleton Armor finally could not withstand the repeated pressure of so many forces. As if scorched by high heat, it blackened, curled, then burned into ash.
Yin Le had seen similar scenes countless times over the past few days and was no longer surprised. Without even blinking, she stood quietly beside him and watched the Exoskeleton Armor's components peel away from Ronan one by one, gradually reverting into neatly arranged parts before being sealed inside a metal case folded from the armor's outer shell.
The lid closed, yet Ronan's body still did not truly touch the ground. His toes hovered above the deck. Rather than seeming weightless, he appeared to be carrying some invisible, immense force that repelled the air, the night, and all
