These days, many people in Ban City were restless.

For Ronan, life went on as it should. The past two or three days had been busy but uncomplicated, and things even felt simpler. For everyone else, though, it was the complete opposite.

Three days had passed since the night of May 8th, when Ronan had fought True God across a great distance. After that, True God had returned to Ban City and thrown a tremendous tantrum, enough to affect the city's weather.

The power of Extraordinary Species was certainly inconceivable, but no matter how inconceivable True God was, he was still a living being. The effects of his emotional fluctuations could not possibly all be borne by the material world.

In fact, the impact on the Mental Layer was the most direct. Most of that power had merely stirred up a storm in the Abyss Zone; what sank into the Mental Ocean was only the aftermath.

Even so, several dozen hours of continuous "rippling" were more than enough for people to suffer through.

Especially for someone like Old Hand, a half-baked practitioner. His "bubble cage" in the Mental Ocean was sturdier than an ordinary person's, yet far inferior to that of a true powerhouse. He had picked up plenty of negative residue for no reason, and it gradually settled into his heart like a chronic toxin. How much it affected him depended only on the dosage.

It would definitely help to relieve it early.

That was Ronan's observation, though it was only a small part of his overall conclusion. He could use a few small tricks to help Old Hand vent this portion, but at broader and deeper levels, there was little he could do.

For example, old injuries; Aberration Infection; and the natural process of aging.
