Background / History

Before the apocalypse, Shen Jin worked at Wanyu Group and was known for solid technical skills and competence. He resigned after the chairman’s niece, despite only having a junior-high education, was chosen as department manager instead of him. 8

At the outbreak’s beginning, Shen Jin was transported to a grassy space and offered a sword, pickaxe, or fire. He chose the pickaxe and received the My World Auxiliary System. Rather than seek fights, he spent the next three months excavating tunnels, stockpiling supplies, and creating an underground survival base. 3 27

After rescuing Li Moxiao outside his villa, Shen Jin brought her through a concealed passage into his basement hideout. Although initially reluctant to involve himself with others, he gradually took responsibility for her safety and survival. 2 10 12

While scavenging around his former workplace, Shen Jin encounters the Wanyu Group survivors. He infiltrates the Haima Security Supplies Store to rescue Shang Qian from Lu Qiang, but is severely injured after Lu Qiang unlocks his Gene Lock. Sun Can’s intervention saves him. 15 17 18 19

Expanding His Group

Shen Jin brings Shang Qian and the unconscious Sun Can back through his tunnels, later forming a more stable group with Li Moxiao and Yang Ao. He begins considering territory expansion, power generation, and the risks posed by evolved zombies and Transcendent humans. 24 30 31 33
