Final Thoughts and a New Book

1. First, thanks

Thank you to all the readers for subscribing, reading, and supporting me, and to those reading elsewhere as well. I'm truly grateful!

Thanks to the Qidian platform, and thanks to the editors and operations staff.

This book ran for over a year. Its results were better than I expected: 20,000 average subscriptions and 120,000 peak subscriptions.

The numbers dipped somewhat, but 120,000 people paid to read through the paid chapters. I'm still immensely grateful!

Let me also talk about my journey and the new book.

(Just sharing, not complaining or slandering anyone!)

When the book first started doing well, I was honestly surprised and happy.

While writing it, I was especially serious about it.

But my writing was too poor. My fundamentals weren't good, and my skill level was lacking too.

When the first arc was nearing its end, I was a little lost. There were a lot of bad reviews at the time.

It was the first time in my life that I'd seen so many bad reviews. It really hit me and affected my mindset.

As long as you subscribed, I accepted any bad review.

At the time, I reflected on myself, but I also thought: my skill was what it was. There was nothing I could do.

After going through the first arc, I thought I'd gotten used to being criticized. I'd write properly, and people could criticize me however they liked.

I thought too highly of myself.

The first arc's subscriptions were fine.

In the second arc, there was one plotline that I wrote like complete garbage.

That time, the criticism really shattered my defenses. I didn't sleep well for several days in a row.
