A Sudden Change, a Choice

Although Blood Colored Valley was extremely vast, it was not boundless.

Within a mountain range on the eastern side, Fire Phoenix Fairy and Chang He of the Flying Cloud Sword, who were searching for something, were suddenly startled by a tremendous commotion.

Several distant peaks actually collapsed on their own.

"Someone is fighting. Those mountains were likely toppled by the aftermath of the battle." Chang He gazed into the distance, put away the map in his hand, and spoke in surprise.

Fire Phoenix Fairy raised her brows. "Judging from those aftershocks, the center of the battle is at least several hundred thousand miles away. There is a high chance it is a battle between Upper Human Venerables or even stronger experts. Come, let's go take a look. It may have something to do with what we are searching for."

Chang He was somewhat speechless and hurriedly tried to stop her. "What we seek is the heart within the heart, the valley within the valley. How could that have anything to do with a battle?"

Fire Phoenix Fairy gave a soft snort. "Of course I know that. But with only that one sentence we painstakingly deciphered, we have already searched for months. Why care about spending a little time watching the excitement?"

With that, she shot forward first.

Chang He had no choice but to follow.

Elsewhere, Nether Evil Venerable and Azure Wing Venerable, who had likewise been pursuing treasure for several months, had not noticed any commotion. Or rather, ever since entering Blood Colored Valley, their ears had scarcely known a moment's peace.
