Li Qi left the place where "Chenji" was.
Though it could not really be called leaving, since only his dharma body had gone there in the first place. And a dharma body was one manifestation of Li Qi's existence as something "metaphysical." To be precise, Li Qi no longer had a true body. He was entirely dharma bodies.
Having reached the Third Rank, Li Qi's "true body" was the Dao, a mathematical model, a theory. A theory could not be observed. Perhaps it could be described through mathematics, through formulas, or by some other means, but one could never directly observe what a theory looked like.
Outsiders could only observe phenomena that conformed to that theory.
And a dharma body was the embodiment of such "phenomena that conformed to the theory."
Setting that aside, Li Qi began recalling what had happened earlier.
Everything had seemed so natural and logical, nothing particularly out of the ordinary, yet it gave Li Qi the illusion that mountain rain was about to come and the wind had already filled the tower.
Logically speaking, a Third-Rank cultivator could divine their own fortune and misfortune, but Li Qi could sense nothing of the future.
It seemed the future was bound to hold an enormous war, one so vast that even he could no longer deduce it. No doubt quite a few great powers would be involved.
It was like brewing wine.
That reminded Li Qi of Great Shaman Changxi, whom he had met before.
Great Shaman Changxi enjoyed brewing wine. The Moonlight Wine she brewed tasted exquisitely marvelous, enough to intoxicate even high-rank cultivators.
Ordinary wine could not possibly intoxicate high-rank cultivators, but Great Shaman Changxi used longing as her ingredient. Thus... wine did not intoxicate people; people intoxicated themselves.
Drink a cup of longing, and
