Background / History

Tang San spent two years training in Star Dou Forest before returning to Shrek City as a Soul King. During this seclusion, his Blue Silver Grass evolved into the Blue Silver Emperor. He intended to reunite with his companions, but the Chang'an Empire's expansion drew him into the defense of the northern cities. 97 98

At Dragon Snake City, Tang San coordinated a rear assault by using Blue Silver Grass as a signal for Shrek's reinforcements. The battle ended in disaster: Dragon Duke and Snake Dowager died, the city fell, and Tang San escaped while most of the force was annihilated. Meng Yiran later realized that he had abandoned the battlefield despite declaring he would fight to the death. 99 101

After Shrek City's defeat, Tang San sought shelter with the Clear Sky Sect. He helped Tang Xiao prepare its mountain gate, forging Godly Zhuge Crossbows and deploying the Tang Sect's three supreme hidden weapons against Chang'an's Battle Armor Soul Masters. 111 112

The Clear Sky Sect's defenses were eventually overwhelmed by Master Lu Ban's Mechanical Paths and the bombardment of Lu Ban No. 7. Tang San's concealed weapons initially inflicted major losses, but his Pear Blossom Rain Needles were destroyed and his Buddha's Fury Tang Lotus was ultimately answered by a mechanical bomber. Following the Sea God's trials, Tang San returned to Sea God Island more mature and near completion of his inheritance. He fought alongside the island's Sea Douluos during Chang'an's invasion, then became the Sea God through Bo Saixi's sacrifice when the defenders were close to defeat. 260 261 269

As Sea God, Tang San confronted Chang'an's divine forces and Nuwa. Nuwa killed him with Command: Annihilation after he used Twilight of the Sea God to escape her Spatial Strangulation. The Asura God then offered him revival and succession; Tang San accepted and returned as a God King. 275 276

As the Asura God, Tang San battled Nuwa, Liu Bang, Miyamoto Musashi, and Tachibana Ukyo. His confidence faltered after the outsider Asura God destroyed all six of his Asura Greatswords. Personality

Tang San is highly self-assured and takes visible pride in the Tang Sect's concealed weapons. He dismisses most mechanical practitioners as unworthy rivals and initially regards the Godly Zhuge Crossbow as proof of his own superiority. 113

He is also tactically minded. At Dragon Snake City, he used Blue Silver Grass to block flames, signal allies, and coordinate an attack on Sun Ce's rear. At the Clear Sky Sect, he recognized the narrow mountain approach as an advantage and armed the sect's disciples accordingly. 99 112

His confidence frequently becomes arrogance. He mocks Hai Nuo while surrounding him with eight Titled Douluo, underestimates Liu Bang's support abilities, and is repeatedly forced to reassess opponents whose powers exceed his expectations. 262 280 281 282
