Background / History

Da Wen was born a few minutes before his twin brother, Xiao Tian. After being weaned, he was sent to live with their grandparents because their parents lacked time to care for both children; he later returned to the household. Their parents believed this separation had left him frail and deprived, so they compensated by indulging him heavily. 13

As a child, Da Wen was extroverted, lively, disobedient, and frequently disruptive at school. His parents' favoritism created resentment in Xiao Tian, who felt excluded and gradually withdrew into studying. 13

At boarding school, Da Wen's behavior worsened. He skipped academic responsibilities, climbed the school wall to visit internet cafés, harassed female students, and received disciplinary action following a fight connected to his pursuit of an older student. 14

After his mother discovered pornography and other concerning behavior in his room, Da Wen left home temporarily. He later drugged Xiao Tian and attempted to assault their mother; she later stated that he did not succeed in penetrating her. The incident fractured the family and led Xiao Tian to attack Da Wen at school. 14

Da Wen left school to enlist in the army. Years later, he returned for a family reunion, physically stronger and outwardly more upright, though Xiao Tian remained distrustful and hostile toward him. 14 21 He subsequently died while carrying out a military mission and was posthumously named a martyr. 22
