Raised and taught within Hecate's temple, she understands romance largely in theory and initially cannot identify her jealousy, loneliness, or attachment to Moran. Her affection is nevertheless immediate, sincere, and exceptionally direct. 10
Her love for Moran makes her bold enough to defy Colchis, steal the Golden Fleece, and refuse to abandon him despite knowing he is involved with Atalanta. She initially approaches love with self-neglecting devotion, but Moran's insistence that she value herself causes her to hesitate before harming her family. 10 11 13
Beneath her innocent manner, Medea is capable of ruthless strategic thinking. She creates a gruesome illusion of Aeëtes being dismembered to break the morale of Colchis's pursuing fleet, yet chooses not to actually kill him. 13 In her later reunion with Moran, her love ultimately outweighs her resentment over his broken promise. 34 35

History
Colchian Princess and the Argonaut Expedition
Medea first encounters Moran when the Argo reaches Colchis seeking the Golden Fleece. Although she has only just met him, she becomes intensely captivated by him and secretly follows him out of the city using magic. 9
When Moran and the Argonauts prepare to face King Aetes's trials, Medea provides Jason with protective ointments. After Moran predicts that Aetes will refuse to surrender the Fleece even if the heroes succeed, she helps him infiltrate the royal treasury under concealment magic and steal it. 11
Medea leaves Colchis aboard the Argo during the pursuit that follows. She instead uses illusion magecraft to paralyze the enemy force without murdering her family. 12 13
