Chapter 697: The Revolutionary Army: The World Government Is Truly Too Pitiful!
On an undeveloped island, beasts roared and insects and birds cried out, while the lush vegetation radiated a fresh, vibrant energy. Beneath the ground, however, busy figures hurried about in every direction.
This was the Revolutionary Army's underground base.
In the spacious conference room, a large pile of newspapers lay scattered across the long table.
At the meeting, Dragon suddenly spoke. "Tell me what you think!"
The Okama King was the first to slam his hands on the table and stand up. "This is definitely a trap! Longinus must have set it up specifically for you! Dragon, you absolutely cannot go!"
Koala held up a newspaper and said softly, "But Marshal Longinus publicly issued the invitation in the newspaper. Given his credibility, he shouldn't be the type to break his word, right?"
Ivankov widened his eyes. "Who knows whether all that in the past was just an act to deceive people? Pretending to be a good person a hundred times doesn't mean he'll still be a good person the hundred and first time!"
Betty rested her cheek on one hand. "But the problem is, he didn't publicly invite just us. With so many forces gathered together, even Marine Headquarters couldn't completely suppress them, could it?"
Ivankov was momentarily speechless, then muttered, "I still don't trust him."
"One point is very important!" Dragon suddenly spoke, sliding his finger back and forth between two newspapers. "Once those forces issued their joint declaration, their primary enemy was no longer us!"
"But something doesn't seem right!" Victor curled his fingers and lightly tapped the tabletop. "If their enemy is the World Government, then with the power the Marines currently command, overthrowing that regime shouldn't be all that difficult, should it?"
