Dead, and Still Trying to Fool You!

Fujitora was sent flying hard into the ground, spitting out a large mouthful of blood. Blackbeard, meanwhile, sneered as he wiped the corner of his mouth and tossed aside the cane sword stuck in his chest as if it were garbage.

In an instant, the situation took a sharp turn for the worse.

"Damn it, how could this happen?"

"Damn it! He was clearly injured by Admiral Fujitora. Why isn't he affected at all?"

"What a forgetful bunch. Have you all forgotten... what's different about me now compared to before?" Blackbeard roared with laughter.

"I know, I know! I heard someone say that you're not a man anymore!" Shirahoshi raised her hand as she answered, then comforted him in a gentle voice, "Is that why you go around killing people? It's actually fine. Being a woman is pretty good too!"

Despite the serious atmosphere, quite a few Marines burst out laughing.

Blackbeard's face instantly turned as black as the bottom of a pot. He glared viciously at Shirahoshi and cursed, "Shut up!"

"You'll only be able to laugh for now!" Blackbeard turned toward the Marines who were mocking him. "Once I obtain the power of Poseidon, this world will belong to me!"

"Poseidon? So this is your true objective? Then..." Fujitora's heart sank. He had not expected those pirates' claims about destroying the remains to be lies. They had merely stumbled into the truth, causing the others to think Blackbeard had seen through everything.

"Hm? What were you going to say?" Blackbeard frowned, feeling that he had overlooked something.

Fujitora's heart tightened. Blackbeard's strength had exceeded his expectations, but no matter what, he could not let Blackbeard make that connection. So he continued, "...then you really are despicable!"
