Though the Heavenly Court was beautiful, its laws were harsh, and there was little freedom.
She could not return to her true form and roam the sea of clouds, climb immortal mountains and Floating Rocks, much less go to the clear springs and flying waterfalls of Floating Mountain to cool off and play. If the Floating Rocks beneath her feet had not been close to the Female Guard Camp's immortal isle, she would not have dared climb up here. Though the immortal realm was vast, there was nowhere to be free and carefree.
Keeping a dragon from rolling through the sea of clouds made her whole body ache. Come to think of it, perhaps no divine dragon had appeared in this sea of clouds for tens of thousands of years.
After eating too many pills, her black pupils spun a few times, her head tilted aside, and she leaned against the ancient tree and fell asleep...
Blue heavens stretched above the clear sky and clouds, white clouds unfurling and curling at leisure.
Clear-sky rain occasionally fell upon the Heavenly Court's floating immortal mountains and rocks. It came swiftly and vanished swiftly. When rain fell beneath a clear sky, rainbows like bridges linked the immortal isles. A beautiful white paper umbrella flew out on its own and opened. The lovely umbrella hovered beneath flowering trees, shielding petal after petal from the gentle rain. Sunlight slanted brightly down as the softly turning paper umbrella guarded the soundly sleeping little Dragon Girl.
Immortal maidens drifted lightly past, heading for the Floating Rocks to gather petals for flower tea and immortal wine.
One after another, they looked toward the gleaming white paper umbrella.
A drizzle on Heavenly Street moistened all like crisp pastry; upon immortal rocks, one slept in dreams.
A long while later.
