Background / History
During her trial for true godhood, Brunhilde descended into a human state and encountered a human pursuing the Evil Dragon Fafnir. Unable to fight effectively herself at first, she acted as his guide, helping him locate the unusual metal later forged into Gram. Although the first blade broke against Fafnir's scales, the human reforged it through a method involving natural lightning and magic, then slew the dragon. 75
The victory did not resolve Brunhilde's trial cleanly. She witnessed the dragon-slaying hero transform into a human-shaped Evil Dragon and was told that he sought vast amounts of life to become a true mythological being. Even after her demigod power awakened, she could not defeat his dragon form directly. She therefore created a single-use Pseudo Divine Artifact from her own flesh and blood and ambushed him at the apparent weak point on his back. 75
The hero was later identified as Siegfried Sigurd. His role in completing Brunhilde's trial made their connection central to both her rise to true godhood and her lingering guilt: until his death, he neither expressed hatred toward her nor explained himself. 77
Brunhilde studied the techniques associated with Siegfried and developed the Valkyries' Divine Artifact Synthesis from them, teaching the ability to her twelve sisters. She waited nearly two thousand years for an opportunity to use that power openly against the gods. 76
Appearance
Brunhilde is a tall, battle-hardened Valkyrie with a strikingly heroic appearance. Her usual clothing resembles knightly attire, reinforcing the severe and martial impression she gives others. 2 24
- Glossy black hair, typically secured with a wing-shaped hair ornament. 2 24
- Blue eyes. 12
- Tall, well-proportioned build. 2
- Naturally stern and spirited face; she does not rely on makeup. 2
- Projects an aggressive, somber, and murderous battlefield aura. 2 24
Personality
Brunhilde is audacious enough to confront the gods' extinction decision directly, proposing Ragnarok despite the Valkyries' lower status at the Valhalla Council. She treats Humanity's survival as a responsibility worth provoking divine authority for. 2
She is highly investigative and strategic. Brunhilde personally reviews historical records, recognizes altered information, probes temporal anomalies, and revises her match strategy when prior intelligence proves unreliable. 12 23 35 67
Her resolve does not prevent fear. Brunhilde becomes visibly tense when confronted with overwhelming figures such as Gilgamesh, Xiang Yu, and the First Emperor, but repeatedly chooses to continue negotiating or investigating rather than retreat. 10 24 31
Brunhilde is protective of her sisters, particularly Goll, while also expecting them to bear the risks of Divine Artifact Synthesis alongside her. Her remorse over Siegfried shows that her pragmatic choices can weigh heavily on her long after they are made. 31 68 77
Abilities & Skills
Akasha System Access
Brunhilde operates the Akasha System to investigate history, inspect records, observe past events, and summon human souls for Ragnarok. Her access during the tournament was granted through the Council of Gods rather than being an innate personal authority. 9 12 146
- Identified Gilgamesh as a human rather than the demigod described by history. 3 9
- Detected altered records connected to powerful human kings and investigated their eras in person. 12 16
- Can attempt soul summons through historical identification and facial recognition. 23
- A summon fails when the target's soul has been completely destroyed; Akasha reports “Soul not detected.” 23
- Her observations can be disrupted by historical interference, inaccessible system functions, and parallel-world irregularities. 23 174
Divine Artifact Synthesis
Brunhilde developed the Valkyries' method of transforming into Divine Artifacts, allowing a human and Valkyrie to reach a human-divine unity suited to fighting gods. The method originated from techniques tied to Siegfried, which Brunhilde later researched and taught to her sisters. 30 76
- A normal human requires a Divine Artifact to wound a god. 30
- Compatibility and training are normally necessary for a human to wield a Divine Artifact effectively. 30
- Brunhilde personally underwent Divine Weapon Forging with the First Emperor, merging with him before returning to normal; the exact artifact she became was not identified. 31
- She assigned Lantigreese to become Xiang Yu's Divine Artifact, exploiting Lantigreese's “Shield Breaker” property against Thor's gauntlets. 31 35
One Lotus Rebirth
Brunhilde obtained the ability called One Lotus Rebirth through Shaka before initiating Ragnarok. Its exact mechanics are not explained in the available account. 181
Historical and Tactical Analysis
Brunhilde rapidly draws conclusions from incomplete information, including detecting falsified histories, questioning standard divine intelligence, and recognizing the possibility that apparent time travel may instead involve a parallel worldline. 12 35 174
Relationships
- Goll — Youngest Valkyrie sister. Goll admires Brunhilde, follows her investigations, and frequently worries about her safety and decisions. 2 3 9

- Hrist — Second eldest Valkyrie sister. Brunhilde calls upon her while arranging later human representatives and during the plan to contact Valkyries across pantheons. 57 86
- Gilgamesh — Brunhilde identified him as a human who killed the god Anu, then summoned him as a potential ally despite fearing his killing intent and divine artifacts. 7 9 10 11

- Zeus — A hostile divine opponent whose determination to continue Ragnarok convinces Brunhilde that warning him about its hidden dangers would be futile. 75
Story Role / Major Arcs
Valhalla Conference and Ragnarok Proposal
When the gods voted to exterminate Humanity, Brunhilde entered the Valhalla Council Hall with Goll and proposed Gods vs. Humans Ragnarok as Humanity's chance to survive. 2
Recruitment and Historical Investigation
Brunhilde searched human history for fighters capable of challenging gods. She recruited Gilgamesh after witnessing him kill Anu, investigated abnormal records surrounding Solomon and other kings, and uncovered impossible technological and soul-related anomalies in altered eras. 3 9 12 23
First Round Against Thor
Brunhilde initially selected Lu Bu Fengxian as Humanity's opening fighter and entrusted Lantigreese with the corresponding Divine Artifact role. Events instead led to Xiang Yu facing Thor. Brunhilde's plan was to use Lantigreese's Shield Breaker property to destroy Járngreipr and prevent Thor from wielding Mjolnir, though she later realized the gauntlets had actually been suppressing Thor's power. 31 32 35
Fourth Round Against Hades
After recognizing that the gods possessed more hidden powers than expected, Brunhilde committed to fighting every remaining match with maximum effort. She summoned Hasan-i Sabbah for Humanity's fourth round against Hades, a victory that left her disturbed by the assassin's unexplained divine blood and overwhelming God-Slaying Power. 67 70 73 74
Siegfried's Return
Brunhilde summoned Siegfried Sigurd as Humanity's representative against Loki. His reappearance forced her to confront the history of her trial, his alleged transformation into Fafnir, and her own betrayal of him. 75 77
Expanding the Valkyries' Response
When a mysterious figure requested access to the gate connecting the Human World, Brunhilde ordered her sisters to contact Valkyries and Valkyrie captains from other pantheons. She later issued a broader command for Valkyries to prepare the heavenly gates amid escalating conflict with the Primal Gods. 86 176
Underworld Battle
Brunhilde later led a group of powerful women into the Underworld to join the larger cross-world conflict between gods and goddesses. 328
