Overview
A Martial Saint is a martial artist who has forged a Saint Body, integrating a divine ability into their physical form and entering the first of the Three Saint Realms. In common usage, “Martial Saint” usually specifically refers to a Human Saint, though Earthly Saints and Heavenly Saints also belong to the broader Martial Saint hierarchy. 229 235
Martial Saints are regarded as overlords of the Sacred Land. A force with a resident Martial Saint can establish itself as a Martial Saint-level power, while a Heavenly Saint can found a Martial Saint Sacred Land. 235
Three Saint Realms
| Stage / Realm | Requirements | Defining Traits |

| Earthly Saint | Transform the Saint Body through Primordial Power of Heaven and Earth. | Possesses an evolved Saint Body and can wield accompanying Power of Heaven and Earth. 250 251 |
| Heavenly Saint | Not fully detailed. | The peak of the Three Saint Realms; capable of founding a Martial Saint Sacred Land. 229 235 |
Saint Body
A Saint Body is the foundation of Martial Sainthood. It is created by refining external materials to reshape the physical body so that it aligns with a martial artist’s divine ability; after successful integration, the martial artist reaches the state of “I am the divine ability.” 223 226
Properties
- A Saint Body amplifies its corresponding divine ability by at least tenfold and potentially by over a hundredfold. 226 227
- Every movement of a Martial Saint carries the might of their integrated divine ability. 226
- A Martial Saint’s overall strength is chiefly determined by the quality and compatibility of their Saint Body. 227
- A weak Saint Body may be unable to survive the Primordial Power of Heaven and Earth needed for advancement to Earthly Saint. 250
- Saint Bodies can be forged around a single divine ability or, in exceptional cases, multiple divine abilities. 223
Forging Methods and Materials
- Saint Bodies are molded using external objects and materials suited to the martial artist’s divine ability. 223 226
- Five-element materials are commonly used to forge Five Elements-type Saint Bodies. 226
- The Martial Saint Mansion’s Library contains Saint Body methods for Inner Mansion martial artists, but transmitting those methods outside the mansion is forbidden. 227
- Martial artists may refine several Saint Bodies before attempting to unite them into a stronger form, as demonstrated by Lu Changsheng’s fusion of three bodies into the Chaos Saint Body. 235
Cultivation
Human Saint
Human Saints refine their Saint Bodies with the Power of All Beings—power derived from the people or martial artists under their influence. 236
- Quantity — expand territory and increase the number of people under one’s authority.
- Quality — develop martial arts among those people; a powerful martial artist can contribute far more Power of All Beings than an ordinary person.
- Sacred Lands — provide especially valuable Power of All Beings because their disciples and martial artists are elite. 236
- Rogue Martial Saints have the most difficult path, as they lack an established force and accumulated foundation. 236
Earthly Saint
An Earthly Saint is achieved when the Saint Body is cleansed, transformed, and reborn through the Primordial Power of Heaven and Earth. 250
- The greater the amount and variety of Primordial Power drawn upon, the greater the transformation. 250
- A Saint Body that collapses during the process permanently cuts off the path to Earthly Sainthood and may kill its owner. 250
- Earthly Saints retain immense personal power; the accompanying Power of Heaven and Earth is a secondary benefit rather than the core of their strength. 250
Capabilities
Divine Ability Amplification
A Martial Saint’s Saint Body merges with and vastly strengthens their divine ability.
- Ordinary Saint Bodies generally grant amplification exceeding tenfold. 227
- Powerful Saint Bodies can amplify divine abilities by tens or hundreds of times. 226
- Lu Changsheng’s Chaos Saint Body amplified his three Immeasurable Divine Abilities by more than three hundred times. 235
Saint Body Manifestation
Martial Saints can manifest their Saint Bodies in battle, producing overwhelming pressure and destructive force.
- A manifested Saint Body can shake heaven and earth with a single strike. 226
- Martial Saint-level power can, if unleashed deliberately, annihilate an entire city. 234
- Lu Changsheng’s Chaos Saint Body allowed him to erase Martial Saint Fang Yi’s Saint Body through Five Elements Decomposition. 237
Longevity
- A Divine Ability Realm martial artist lives approximately eight hundred years. 226
- A Martial Saint lives approximately three thousand years. 226 235
- This longevity can sustain a major power through millennia of change. 235
Society and Influence
- The Sacred Land derives its name and prestige from the existence of Martial Saints. 235
- A Martial Saint’s presence can secure a clan or sect for generations; Li Zhenggang protected the Li Family through more than a thousand years of upheaval. 226
- If a Martial Saint-level force loses its resident Martial Saint, rival powers may test, suppress, or dismantle it. 232
- Martial Saint Banquets are held following ascension, functioning both as celebrations and public demonstrations of a new power’s strength. 235 236
- The Martial Saint Mansion trains Divine Ability Realm martial artists in forging Saint Bodies, but Martial Saints themselves are barred from remaining in its Inner Mansion. 237
Notable Martial Saints
- Li Zhenggang — Martial Saint Ancestor of the Li Family; an injured Human Saint who explains the Power of All Beings to Lu Changsheng. 226 236
- Black Light Martial Saint — Martial Saint of the Black Light Merchant Association; slain by Lu Changsheng while the latter was still in the Divine Ability Realm. 234
- Fang Yi — Ancestor of the Joyful Sect; an eight-hundred-year Human Saint whose Saint Body was based on a Great Divine Ability. He was killed by Lu Changsheng in one move. 237
- Lu Changsheng — Forged the Chaos Saint Body by fusing three Saint Bodies, becoming a Human Saint with divine abilities amplified over three hundredfold. 235
Trivia
- In ordinary conversation, “Martial Saint” generally means a Human Saint rather than the broader Three Saint Realms. 229 249
- Martial Saint strength and cultivation potential depend heavily on early foundations, particularly the quality of the Saint Body. 235 250
- Even Martial Saints may hesitate to accept bounties against other Martial Saints, as a Heavenly Dew Creation Pill was insufficient to attract challengers against Fang Yi for over a decade. 237
