Background & History
Audrey is Count Hall’s daughter, raised amid Backlund’s noble society. Before coming of age socially, her ability to leave home was largely limited to dances, salons, and similar social functions. She nevertheless viewed her approaching adulthood chiefly as a chance to control more of her own assets without attracting her family’s attention. 36 183
As Miss Justice, Audrey participates in the Tarot Club. Her wealth, family standing, and access to noble circles initially make her a valuable source of funding and connections, while her Spectator abilities let her observe people beneath their social façades. 23 70
She deliberately used Viscount Grellint’s salons and dances to draw the Psychology Alchemist Association’s attention. After navigating an interview under hypnosis by Hilbert Alucard and providing carefully incomplete truths, she became a formal member of the association. 35 41 195
Audrey’s association with Sno von Perrdax begins through the Tarot Club and develops into an unusually close friendship. He advises her on maintaining her true self as a Spectator, teaches her about Decoys and mysticism, and gives her the arrowhead Gentle, which awakens her Stand. 89 183 184
While staying at the Hall family’s East Chester County manor, Audrey discovers that only her Decoy can clearly perceive a hidden Perrdax door in a ruined tower. Refusing to wait for Sno’s return, she conceals her absence through psychological suggestions and explores the tower with Susie. Their expedition leads through the Devil’s Door, a supernatural sewer maze, and ultimately to Black Swan Castle. 278 279 282 284 285
Audrey later identifies Hevin Lambis’s mental interference by viewing herself through a Decoy’s perspective. Though forced to hypnotize Hugh and Fors under Lambis’s orders, she works with the Tarot Club to prepare for the Demigod’s surveillance and withstands his direct mental intrusion with external protection. 530 531
By the later stages of the story, Audrey serves as a director of the Loen Charity Education Fund, where she accepts donations that support impoverished children while navigating noble politics and threats from the Psychology Alchemist Association. 509
Appearance
Audrey is a blonde, emerald-eyed noblewoman whose refined bearing and immaculate etiquette make her a standout at Backlund social events. She favors comfortable, practical clothing in private and wears fitted riding attire when traveling around her family’s countryside manor. 70 184 278
- Golden hair and clear emerald eyes. 70 184
- Usually presents herself with a flawless noble smile, measured gait, and formal etiquette. 70 89
- Prefers the open scenery and natural light of the countryside to her family castle’s ornate but gloomy atmosphere. 278 306
- Can be transformed by the Mirror Realm Corridor into a pink magical-girl outfit, complete with light-pink hair, wand, gloves, socks, and a short dress. 415
Personality
Audrey is intensely curious about mysticism and Extraordinary powers. Early on, she envies the practical versatility of the Apprentice pathway and is frustrated that a Mind Reader’s abilities feel less visibly “Extraordinary” than opening doors or throwing fireballs. 14 166 183
Her noble training gives her composure under scrutiny. She can maintain a convincing social persona, redirect conversations, and feign hypnosis even after breaking free from it. At the same time, she actively guards against becoming emotionally detached through the Spectator pathway. 38 89 195
She has a pronounced adventurous streak and sometimes overestimates what preparation can compensate for. Her exploration of the Perrdax ruins is methodical—using rabbit tests, pendulum divination, Spirit Vision, and Decoys—but she still chooses to enter dangerous places for the experience of adventure. 279 280 282
Audrey is increasingly cautious about reading the minds of people close to her. After accidentally learning uncomfortable truths through her Mind Reader abilities, she resolves to use them only when necessary. 183
Abilities & Skills
Spectator Observation
Audrey reads body language, emotional shifts, and behavioral inconsistencies with exceptional precision.
- Identified Baron Gramir’s abnormal behavior at a ball and warned Count Hall. 70
- Can observe social targets while subtly guiding conversations in desired directions. 38
- Uses self-examination to identify outside interference and analyze her own motivations. 278 281
- Her observational skill can be impeded by targets who are immune to mind-reading or observation. 112
Mind Reading, Suggestion, and Hypnosis
As she advances, Audrey gains direct means of influencing and probing the psyche.
- Casts suggestions on manor staff to conceal her movements; affecting dozens of people consecutively is mentally draining. 279
- Can induce hypnosis and extract information, as demonstrated with Hugh and Fors. 531
- Uses psychological guidance to lower a vulnerable subject’s defenses and encourage disclosure. 457
- Resists hostile hypnosis by recognizing the influence and maintaining an outward appearance of compliance. 195
- Is vulnerable to higher-sequence mental manipulation, as shown by Hevin Lambis’s implanted instructions. 530
Decoy — *Brilliant Diamond*
Audrey possesses a Decoy named Brilliant Diamond, which can act independently within a limited range.
- Allows her to perceive and interact with hidden Perrdax doors that ordinary observers cannot see. 278 279
- Can enter dangerous or inaccessible areas ahead of Audrey. 279 280
- Is described as a close-range, high-power Decoy and cannot travel far from her body. 281
- Gives Audrey a detached perspective useful for detecting subtle psychological abnormalities. 183 530
Stand
Audrey awakens a Stand after Sno uses the ancient arrowhead Gentle on her. 184
- Resembles an adult Audrey with black hair, dragon horns, folded bat wings, a scaled tail, and lethal-looking scaled gauntlets and boots. 184
- Wears shell-like armor that leaves much of its body exposed, an appearance Audrey finds embarrassing. 184
- Its dragon-like traits are interpreted as symbols of the potential within Audrey’s Spectator sequence. 184
- Appears suited to close combat, though its private abilities are known only to Audrey. 184
- Its clothing may be alterable through psychological suggestion once Audrey becomes a Psychologist. 184
Spirit Vision and Divination
Audrey supplements her pathway abilities with practical mysticism.
- Can enter Spirit Vision and use it to inspect supernatural environments. 278 282
- Uses pendulum divination to assess danger, track the status of test animals, and navigate trials. 280 282 283
- Applies divination and careful observation to solve the Perrdax sewer maze’s synchronized-room mechanism. 283 284
Magical Girl Fashion
The Mirror Realm Corridor can transform Audrey into a magical-girl form with a wand. 415
- Can fire magical bullets imbued with a Psychologist’s Deterrence or Madness effects. 415
- Each transformation lasts approximately half an hour. 415
- The form consumes significant energy and leaves Audrey concerned about its revealing design. 415
Equipment / Items
Lie— A necklace that can become a pendulum, provides danger premonition, improves divination, and includes three paper-figurine Decoys. 279 280 282- Marionette — A Mysterious Item gifted by Sno, equivalent to Sequence 6; Audrey uses it to inspect her mental state. 281
- Perrdax castle key — Obtained after completing the trial route; grants access to Black Swan Castle, though not to restricted rooms. 285 288 290

- Susie — Audrey’s loyal Mind Reader companion and fellow adventurer. Susie offers caution, practical support, and occasionally the insight Audrey overlooks. 279 282 284
