History
King Offering Hell Crisis
Tai City was struck by a Dark Attribute anomaly outbreak during a severe rainstorm. The Spirit Association concealed the event behind weather warnings, but rapidly evolving bats overwhelmed the city’s Pioneer squads, entered residential buildings, and left the association with virtually no remaining forces to deploy. 68 69 74
With military reinforcements unable to reach Central Plaza before the King could hatch, Fang Yi ordered all available liaisons and equipment to connect to him. He fought through the bat swarm, reached the city center, and sealed the A+-level King cocoon, preventing Tai City’s destruction. 75 80
The crisis left shattered windows, damaged buildings, and extensive civilian fear, but reconstruction began immediately afterward. Fang Yi’s intervention became the foundation of the Undertaker legend and the reason Tai City’s Pioneers overwhelmingly supported him as their captain. 81 83
Undertaker’s Captaincy
Fang Yi became Tai City’s Pioneer Captain and head of its Pioneers. His presence elevated the local Spirit Association’s standing; it was regarded as the leading city association largely because the Undertaker was stationed there. 104 142
Tai City’s reputation became inseparable from Fang Yi’s power. Other cities treated his arrival as decisive support during anomaly incidents, while hostile Pioneers regarded the city as dangerous territory because of the captain who defended it. 123 179
Gold Attribute Throne Uprising
A Gold Attribute Throne descended on Tai City’s Back Mountain while Fang Yi was absent. Its arrival transformed the mountain and surrounding vegetation into a golden palace-like landscape, while its sharp attribute power spread across much of the city. 197 198
Initially, Fang Yi’s reputation prevented Pioneers from contesting the Throne. Once evidence of his absence circulated, outsiders and local opportunists began probing Tai City’s defenses. Lin Yiyi guarded the city entrance, was injured while resisting Divine Axe Sixth Star Pioneers, and later entered the Throne’s trial herself to protect Tai City from being claimed by another captain. 199 200 201
The situation escalated into an uprising as large numbers of Outlaws breached the city and rushed toward the Throne. The Throne itself killed three powerful Pioneers who attempted to approach it, while Tai City’s Spirit Association forces struggled to contain widespread violence. 206
Fang Yi returned during the unrest, confirmed that Lin Yiyi had entered the Throne, and personally eliminated the invading forces with the Crimson Fire Blade Technique. The incident later became known as an example of his strategy of drawing hostile forces into Tai City before crushing them. 206 209 219
