The Marvelous Hell

Under the setting sun, a blood-red river flowed soundlessly. The suffocating silence, severed limbs, wreckage, and blood-soaked flesh turned white as it bobbed in the water.

One bronze cauldron after another stood along the riverbank. Some boiled eyeballs, while others simmered skulls. Jagged rocks covered the shore, hung with dried corpses.

That was the Hell Wang Xuan had imagined. In fact, all parties had said Hell was blood-red. Yet the real scene was utterly unlike anything he had seen.

He now faced the sea, deep blue and crystalline, beneath a sky scrubbed clean. Sea and sky merged into one. Behind him, spring warmth had brought flowers into bloom, lush vegetation flourished, and dazzling petals swayed beneath divine trees.

He began to wonder whether he had descended into Hell or ascended to the heavenly court.

The gap between his expectations and reality was simply too enormous.

Rumble!

The ground trembled. In the distance, a colossal creature came charging over, yanking him from his daze amid the slightly salty sea breeze.

In an instant, his pupils contracted. He was certain now—this was Hell.

A monster covered in long black hair stood fifteen meters tall, wreathed in dense black mist. Its huge ox head was savage and vicious, and it gripped a heavy, razor-sharp steel fork as it sprinted at high speed.

At its side was another sixteen-meter monster, covered in thick brown fur, with a horse's head. It carried a mourning staff and dragged a thick iron chain that clattered loudly. Beneath its feet, it used Shrink Ground into Inches, arriving in the blink of an eye.

Ox-Head and Horse-Face? Wang Xuan was startled.

They charged straight at Wang Xuan. Their fleshly bodies warped space itself, blurring even the ground beneath them. They were astonishingly fast!
