The battle was incredibly brutal. After roughly ten minutes, the mercenaries finally wiped out the Undead Samurai, but many of their own had died as well. Of the original forty-man team, more than twenty had been killed in that exchange. Only a dozen or so mercenaries remained, holding their guns and nervously watching their surroundings, terrified that another wave of Undead Samurai would emerge.
Vogel panted heavily as he looked at the energy shield. Gritting his teeth, he roared, "Keep firing! I refuse to believe we can't blow through this shield!"
