"Tap, tap, tap, tap~~"
Constantine's leather shoes rang crisply against the marble floor of the shopping street as he walked up to a pair of grand doors.
"Creak!"
The tall wooden doors were pushed open. Constantine entered and made his way into a luxurious office filled with artistic charm. Behind the desk sat a white-haired old man, who looked up at Constantine.
"Mr. Chairman!"
Constantine bowed respectfully.
The white-haired old man spoke softly. "Charlotte Auction House is auctioning off Himiko's belongings, as well as the remains of another legendary Japanese deity. Have you heard about this?"
"Yes."
"The previous operation to investigate Himiko's reincarnation power failed. Constantine, that was your mistake. Now go buy that skeleton and hand it over to the research institute. See whether they can gain anything from it," the old man said.
"We could simply take them by force," Constantine said, pursing his lips.
"If money can solve the problem, don't use other means. Go. Don't fail this time," the old man ordered.
"I heard that the Japanese government has contacted the prime minister and wants to stop this auction," Constantine said.
"I've already called Blair. He won't stop the auction. Besides, using authority to obstruct free trade goes against the rules and could easily cause more trouble. As for Japan, their government is only making a statement to placate the public. They won't take any drastic action over this," the white-haired old man said.
"I understand. I'll definitely bring those things back. If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave." Constantine bent over in a bow.
Just then, the old man suddenly said, "Constantine, work hard. As long as you contribute enough to the organization, one day you'll enter the Council of Elders."
"Yes, Mr. Chairman. I understand."
When Constantine left the castle, several sharp
