"Ada's grappling gun is practically a Divine Artifact." Before Ada left, Shen Fei borrowed her grappling gun for a look, then used the 3D printer to fabricate one.
There's no denying that the existence of a 3D printer makes many things incredibly simple, especially for a laboratory—it dramatically boosts efficiency.
Stark was able to churn out so many Mark Series Iron Man Suits so quickly thanks to the 3D printer. The thing is so miraculous that as long as you have enough materials and a design blueprint, making an Ant-Man Suit is just a matter of minutes.
In Spider-Man: Far From Home, Peter Parker used a 3D printer to quickly craft his new Spider-Man suit.
Of course, a 3D printer capable of this level of work is extremely expensive—at least tens of millions of dollars, and the high-end ones could cost hundreds of millions.
Among the things Shen Fei had borrowed before was a small 3D printer, but now he had two large ones and four medium-sized ones, all part of Wesker's legacy.
What could a large 3D printer like this achieve? Simply put, if you had the blueprints for a Quinjet, you could manufacture one in no time.
Making other things was even easier.
Take figurines, for example—a 3D printer worth tens of millions could absolutely craft a life-sized, exquisite figurine, though no one would likely use such an expensive machine for that.
This kind of equipment was almost standard for top-tier scientists. The Pym household had a small but highly precise 3D printer, and his Ant-Man Suit and Wasp Suit were almost certainly made with it.
"Done." Looking at the black Ant-Man Suit fused with Vibranium, Shen Fei couldn't help but pump his fist in excitement. This suit was a fusion of the Ant-Man Suit, Black Panther's suit, and Spider-Man's suit from his memory, refined through multiple calculations by the Red Queen.
There was no denying that since acquiring the Red Queen, his work efficiency had soared. Tasks like material fusion and mixing could be handed off to the Red Queen to handle.
The only thing Shen Fei lacked now was a powerful portable energy source, like Stark's Arc Reactor. If he had that, he could whip up an Iron Man Suit in no time.
Building an Iron Man Suit was never the hard part. Stark cobbled one together by hand in a cave, let alone in a modern society with all its advanced tech.
Exploration Aerospace Company had been researching Iron Man Suits and had built several, but without solving the energy problem, any suit was just a pile of scrap metal.
After the Arc Reactor was unveiled, didn't even Justin Hammer manage to churn out a bunch of Iron Man Suits?
The reason there weren't swarms of Iron Man Suits after the Arc Reactor's debut came down to another issue: the AI system.
To become Iron Man, both the Arc Reactor and an AI system were indispensable.
Without energy, the suit couldn't move; without an AI system, it couldn't fight. Relying on manual aiming? Don't be ridiculous.
For Stark, the real way to go was to sit in his villa and remotely control the Iron Man Suit in battle. That freed up space on the suit for more weapons.
The reason Stark didn't do that was purely for show—to steal the spotlight. If a man doesn't show off, what's the difference between him and a salted fish? Stark took that to the extreme.
"So you finally decided to crawl out of that dump of yours." Stark looked around Shen Fei's new villa with a face full of disdain.
The villa was already incredibly luxurious, but in Stark's eyes, it was nothing special.
Today was Shen Fei's housewarming party, and Stark had actually shown up, though his attitude made it clear he wasn't there to congratulate him.
In the world of capital, money could solve a lot of problems. Pepper had found this villa quickly, but Shen Fei had delayed moving in until now because it needed renovations.
To house the Red Queen's large container servers, a sizable basement was required.
Besides the basement, a large Arc Reactor also needed to be built. This wasn't done for free—it was purchased at market price from Stark Group, as building large Arc Reactors was a major revenue stream for them.
"My place can't compare to yours, but since you've got so much free time, why not think about miniaturizing the Arc Reactor?" Shen Fei said helplessly, looking at Stark.
Stark Group had always claimed that shrinking the Arc Reactor was extremely difficult. Obadiah Stane had gathered a bunch of scientists to try and improve it, but they'd hit a dead end.
But considering Tony had hammered out a palm-sized Arc Reactor in a cave, there was no need to guess—it wasn't that Tony couldn't improve it; he just didn't want to.
"I'm a busy man. I don't have that kind of time." Stark lounged on a poolside chair with a grin.
A luxury villa with a pool—something Shen Fei had never even dreamed of—was now a reality.
"Busy chasing women." With Pepper nearby, Shen Fei kept that thought to himself.
"Alright, I came all this way early to congratulate you on the move and brought you a gift. Now get cooking."
Since he couldn't stand Western food, Shen Fei cooked for himself whenever he had time. Combined with his Op-Op Fruit abilities, his culinary skills rivaled those of some Michelin-star chefs—truly a feast for the eyes and palate, just shy of glowing food.
After tasting it once, Tony kept dropping by for meals.
Celestial Dynasty cuisine had long spread across the world, and while it was often adapted, opening a Chinese restaurant in the West was generally a safe bet.
Chinese takeout was hugely popular in New York, rivaling pizza.
Of course, Shen Fei couldn't stomach the local Chinese food. He couldn't wrap his head around putting milk and sugar in tea—how was that drinkable? It wasn't coffee.
"Coming right up." With that, Shen Fei headed off to cook.
Stark had actually given him a decent gift this time: a holographic imaging system. Stark didn't know he had an AI; he gave it so Shen Fei could watch movies and spruce up his bedroom.
Shen Fei had originally planned to get this system from Quentin Beck, the scientist Stark Group had fired, but now he didn't need to.
Quentin Beck, Mysterio, would cause a huge stir after Iron Man's death, but for now, he was just a disgruntled ex-employee of Stark Group.
The Marvel world was full of brilliant scientists, and Quentin Beck was one of them. He invented the holographic imaging system, and that very invention got him fired from Stark Group.
After creating the system, Beck became insufferably arrogant, even daring to show off in front of Stark. When Stark pointed out the system's instability, Beck just thought Stark was jealous of his talent—and then he was fired.
The holographic imaging system was indeed powerful, even leaving Spider-Man in the dust, but that was years down the line. Right now, it was highly unstable—useless for games and even problematic for Hollywood special effects.
Tony Stark's home and Shen Fei's place could use the system only because other equipment compensated for its flaws.
Mass adoption of the holographic imaging system was impossible. For one thing, the system plus all the supporting gear cost far more than most people could afford.
Tony might be sharp-tongued and arrogant, but when it came to science, he was rigorous.
Unfortunately, Quentin Beck refused to believe that. Convinced Tony was jealous of his genius, he kept secretly researching the system and contacted several disgruntled former Stark Group employees, forming the Anti-Stark Alliance.
Of course, this so-called alliance is nothing more than a joke right now.
What's more, they have no idea they've caught Shen Fei's attention.
When the time is right, Shen Fei wouldn't mind taking out this so-called Mysterio ahead of schedule.
The reason he hasn't made a move yet is that these people still have their uses. Although they were all fired by Stark Group, they are still top talents in their respective fields. If not for the confidentiality agreements binding them, countless people in the same industry would be eager to hire them.
After squeezing out every bit of their value, killing them off is the best choice.
