Background / History

Madara was Tajima's eldest son and the Uchiha Clan's young heir during the Warring States Period. He disliked Tajima's manipulative leadership and blamed much of the clan's factionalism on his father. His own goal was to suppress internal divisions and unite the Uchiha against the Senju. 5

He met the prodigy Uchiha Kyosuke when Kyosuke returned to the clan. Madara rejected formality, asked Kyosuke to call him by name, and took responsibility for welcoming and looking after him. He recognized Kyosuke as a kindred spirit rather than another associate drawn by Tajima's status. 5

Following Tajima's death, Madara faced challenges from elders seeking control of the clan. His grief triggered his Mangekyō Sharingan awakening, and he decisively established himself as clan head through combat. 119 120 121

Madara later became a central defender of Konoha and the Ninja World against Ōtsutsuki threats. He died after defeating Momoshiki, received Indra's power in the Pure Land, and was eventually resurrected with enhanced dōjutsu power. 270 307

Personality

Madara is proud, blunt, and intensely confident in his own strength. When challenged for leadership, he refused to rely on his Mangekyō Sharingan or the Uchiha Gunbai because he wanted the clan to acknowledge that his power came from himself: “Uchiha Madara.” 120

Despite his arrogance, he is protective of those he considers his own. He prioritizes Izuna's safety in battle, supports Kyosuke with equipment and guards, and intervenes to protect younger Uchiha such as Nagisa. 14 54 258

His rivalry with Hashirama is complicated by affection, shared ideals, and unresolved grief. He hesitates to kill Hashirama in battle, fights alongside him against greater threats, and is devastated by Hashirama's eventual death. 73 250 264
