Three-Inch Heavenly Heart was an Innate Divine Object.
So-called "Innate Divine Objects" were born possessing an innate Great Dao Source and innate Dao Rhymes, mysterious and unfathomable.
For instance, the Saha World Tree planted within Little Western Heaven, the Buddhist sacred land of the Great Wilderness Nine Provinces, was an Innate Divine Object.

Innate Dao energy suffused the gourd, while its Great Dao Source condensed into a three-inch Dao sword—ethereal as a hazy vault of heaven, innately attuned to Su Yi's Dao Heart.
That was why Su Yi named it Three-Inch Heavenly Heart.
Su Yi still clearly remembered that, to nurture the green gourd which condensed Three-Inch Heavenly Heart, he had gathered untold heavenly treasures and divine materials, pouring in immeasurable effort and time before finally awaiting the day it flowered and bore fruit.
