Once the defenders' firing positions were exposed one by one, the sniper rifles began picking them off. Every machine-gun nest and rocket-launcher position was precisely eliminated by snipers.
Then, in the resulting gap in firepower, the Caladanians launched another charge, pressing forward until another batch of firing positions was exposed.
