Far East, somewhere
After returning from Schicksal Headquarters to their secret base, the three monsters immediately reverted from their monstrous forms to human ones.
"Heh, is this the Herrscher Core humans speak of?"
After returning to his human form, the Bat Fangire [King] sat upright on a throne forged from Soul Steel, sneering as he toyed with the Gem of Serenity in his hand.
"It does indeed contain terrifying power. But somehow, it feels as though this core is missing something."
"My King, please be patient for now."
Below King's throne, his subordinate, the Swallowtail Fangire [Bishop], knelt respectfully on one knee before him.
"According to the intelligence from before, around half a year ago, Anti-Entropy's operative Cocolia stole this gem for a period of time."
"Although the gem eventually returned to Otto's hands, no one knows what happened to it while it was outside."
"During the half year since we descended into this world, the intelligence we obtained could only conclude through big-data analysis that Schicksal's A-rank Valkyries had suffered far fewer casualties since more than half a year ago."
"Combined with the information I stole, after the Gem of Serenity was brought back to Schicksal, Otto seemed to have almost stopped selecting A-rank Valkyries to carry out his Artificial Herrscher Project."
"Judging from the current state of the Gem of Serenity, this gem has probably lost the ability to unleash its full power."
After hearing Bishop's analysis, King nodded slightly, indicating his agreement with Bishop's assessment.
"Indeed, it is more or less as you analyzed. By my estimate, it will take at least another year for this core to fully recover its power."
"Unfortunately, this world is simply too absurd. It seems our clan does not have that much time left."
"Bishop, how are the other plans progressing?"
