Still, I managed to find the lair of a Demon King. I was even thinking of gathering intelligence from Silverkeep. Turns out I found something just by looking around. It seems following the usual steps isn't always the best strategy.

Thinking this, Wang Zhifan removed the time-stasis effect from the gatekeeping greater demon. Using spatial power, he effortlessly slipped through the space gate it guarded and entered the Demon King's domain, which was filled with flames.

The gatekeeper noticed absolutely nothing during this process. It neither knew its memories had been examined nor realized someone had infiltrated through the place it guarded.

After all, the gap in strength between it and Wang Zhifan was simply too great. If Wang Zhifan did not want it to notice him, it was as blind as if its eyes were open but saw nothing.

After entering the Demon King's boundless realm of flames, Wang Zhifan began searching for traces of the Demon King. First, he wanted to confirm that the Demon King truly was not here. Second, he wanted to find out where she had gone.

Along the way, he made full use of his Insight ability to examine the memories of the many monsters living here. The result was that they knew even less than the gatekeeper. They only knew that the great Demon King was someone they had to remain loyal to. As for where the Demon King currently was, they had no idea.
