Preparing for the Hunt

Back in his hotel room, Wang Zhifan was about to ask Little Red how the intelligence gathering was going when he sensed something and looked toward the wall.

"Someone followed me? One of those people from earlier? They really have a death wish!"

It was the short man from the masked group Wang Zhifan had encountered earlier. He might not even have been five foot three, but he carried himself like a towering giant. The moment he appeared, he tipped up his chin and said with a mocking glint in his eyes:

"Kid, if you can spot me, you're not half bad! But you're nowhere near qualified to be my opponent! I'll give you a way out. As he spoke, the phantom of a giant snake appeared behind him. It wound around him in a complex, repeating pattern, leaving strange black marks in the air each time it moved—the traces of ruptured space.

Clearly, the short man was showing Wang Zhifan how powerful he was. He could wield the power of the Space Law with ease, and he wanted Wang Zhifan to obey rather than make him waste effort on a fight.
