Background / History

Chu Wei first encountered Wang Zhifan during a Gray Domain incident; after fighting alongside him, both gave statements to the Special Administration Bureau. Her Spiritualist class drew considerably more interest from He Qianqian than Wang Zhifan’s Blade Warrior class. 17

She soon joined the Bureau, moved into its dormitory, and began training under He Qianqian in Gray Domain response and the pursuit of criminal players. She also investigated the Bureau’s recruitment requirements for melee-class players after Wang Zhifan expressed interest. 24 25

As Gray Domain outbreaks increased and the Bureau became short-staffed, Chu Wei—despite being a newcomer—was appointed temporary leader of a low-level cleanup team in Dongjiang City. With only gunner A Liao assigned to her, she hired Wang Zhifan as a temporary worker and bodyguard because both she and A Liao were vulnerable at close range. 34

After A Liao disappeared and was presumed dead following a Dungeon run, Chu Wei continued Gray Domain cleanup with Wang Zhifan, taking on heavier pressure rather than abandoning the work. 77 80
