Background
Wu Di is a young man from the Blue Star Celestial Dynasty who transmigrated into the body of another Wu Di, a country boy in a strange world. The original body’s owner had collapsed and died from overexertion while training in martial arts; Wu Di inherited his memories and a panel visible only to himself. 643
Before the transmigration, the original Wu Di had been seized by a Slave Catching Squad and driven as a slave by a Horse Caravan. The caravan’s abuse, exhaustion, and whippings led to the original owner’s death. 636
After being threatened by a Variant, Wu Di receives a prompt to activate the Savage Tiger Body. The enhancement restores his injured leg and grants extraordinary strength, explosive power, endurance, and speed. He escapes the Variant, then hunts down two Horse Caravan men who had whipped and attempted to kill the slaves. 640
Half a month after transmigrating, Wu Di trains at Wei Chu Martial Hall in Copper Slope Town. He uses the original owner’s year of training memories to practice the Iron Body Skill and rapidly reaches Body Refinement Realm First Level. 643
Personality
Wu Di initially reacts to slavery and imminent death with despair, even becoming temporarily indifferent toward life and death. Nevertheless, he continues looking for a way to survive rather than passively accepting his circumstances. 638
Once empowered, he is decisive and vengeful toward those who abused the slaves. He kills one Horse Caravan member with a single punch, but deliberately leaves another alive to interrogate him about Pingyang City. 638
He is also observant and pragmatic. He analyzes why his enhanced body can outrun a Variant and quickly recognizes that his panel likely possesses hidden cultivation-assisting functions. 640 643
Appearance
Wu Di occupies the body of a young country boy. After activating Savage Tiger Body, his physical condition changes dramatically during combat, allowing him to display strength far beyond that of an ordinary slave. 636 640
- Initially wears the condition and restraints of a caravan slave, including hemp rope binding his wrists. 636
- His body visibly changes upon entering the Iron Body Skill: muscles swell and redden, bones creak, and veins bulge before subsiding. 643
- Later trains at Wei Chu Martial Hall alongside more than fifty apprentices. 713
Abilities & Skills
Savage Tiger Body
A selectable enhancement that Wu Di activates while immobilized before a Variant. It gives him an immense physical boost and heals his injured thigh. 640
- Snaps tightly bound hemp rope through raw strength. 642
- Knocks a huge Variant down with a punch, though the attack does not seriously injure it. 638 640
- Grants explosive speed and endurance sufficient to outrun horses. 636
- Lets him crush a stone into powder casually. 636
- Makes his capabilities comparable, in the Horse Caravan men’s estimation, to those of a True Force Realm Warrior. 636
- Does not make him able to defeat the Variant outright; after stunning it, he chooses to flee. 638
Iron Body Skill
A Mortal Grade martial art taught externally by Wei Chu Martial Hall. It emphasizes resistance to blows and uses straightforward, steady punches and kicks rather than sophisticated offensive techniques. 643 713
- Reaches entry level, elevating Wu Di to Body Refinement Realm First Level. 643
- Greatly increases his punching force, as confirmed by the Senior Brother. 698
- Its cultivation progress is displayed through Wu Di’s panel. 643
- The first Iron Bone Pill is said to greatly assist cultivation of the skill. 698
- Further pills cost twelve taels of silver each. 698
Transmigration Panel
A mysterious panel that appeared with Wu Di’s transmigration and can only be seen by him. 643
- Displays his name, realm, skill, and cultivation progress. 643
- Its Iron Body Skill progress rises unusually quickly, from 87% to 99% in a day. 643
- Wu Di concludes it has hidden functions that accelerate cultivation and help overcome bottlenecks. 643
Equipment / Items
- Iron Bone Pill — A dark, soybean-sized medicinal pill granted by the Wei Chu Martial Hall Master after Wu Di’s breakthrough; especially effective for a first-time Iron Body Skill user. 698
- Long Saber — Taken from a captured Horse Caravan man and held to his neck during interrogation. 638
Relationships
- Wei Chu Martial Hall Master — Hall master who initially advised Wu Di to give up martial arts, then acknowledges his breakthrough, offers guidance, and gives him an Iron Bone Pill. 643 698
- Senior Brother — Wei Chu Martial Hall instructor and Iron Body Skill practitioner at Body Refinement Realm Sixth Level; tests and verifies Wu Di’s breakthrough. 643 698
- Horse Caravan members — Former captors who abused Wu Di and other slaves; he kills one and captures another for information after obtaining Savage Tiger Body. 636 638
- Original Wu Di — The deceased owner of Wu Di’s current body, whose memories of a year of martial arts training aid his cultivation. 643
Story Role / Major Arcs
Slave Caravan and Variant Attack
Wu Di awakens in the body of a bound slave being driven by a Horse Caravan. When a Variant pursues the group, the caravan members mutilate and kill slaves to slow the monster. Wu Di is injured and targeted by the Variant. 636 637
The Savage Tiger Body prompt appears at the moment he faces death. After accepting it, he breaks his restraints, strikes the Variant, and escapes at extreme speed. 640 642
Retribution Against the Horse Caravan
After escaping the Variant, Wu Di identifies two former captors fleeing on horseback. He overtakes them, kills one with a punch through the back, disarms the other’s Long Saber, and knocks him from his horse. 636
Rather than immediately kill the survivor, Wu Di interrogates him for the location of Pingyang City. 638
Wei Chu Martial Hall Training
At Wei Chu Martial Hall, Wu Di practices the Iron Body Skill, whose cultivation had stalled the original body’s owner for a year. With help from his panel, he passes from 99% progress into the skill’s entry stage and becomes a Body Refinement Realm First Level martial artist. 643
His Senior Brother verifies the breakthrough, while the Hall Master praises his perseverance, warns him not to become complacent, and rewards him with an Iron Bone Pill. 698
