Blue Flare burned most fiercely on Charles, far surpassing anyone else. Ian, though he also harbored sin and desire, had far less of both than anyone in the institute.
Compared to the worst of them, Ian was actually the least sinful one.
Engulfed in scorching flames that could not be extinguished even by rolling on the ground, Charles clutched his head and screamed miserably, begging Su Hao and Reshiram to spare him just this once.
However, knowing his sins, Reshiram and Su Hao merely watched coldly as Charles was tortured. He could not endure being burned by Blue Flare alone? Then how were the countless pitiful Pokémon who had suffered at his hands supposed to seek justice for their grievances?
Reshiram had absolute control over its Blue Flare. At Su Hao's request, it kept the flames inflicted on each person at a level that would torment them to the brink of collapse without ever endangering their lives.
Seated atop the rather fawning Metagross, Su Hao stroked Leafeon's wonderfully soft, fluffy body as he calmly watched these sinners struggle in this belated fire of judgment.
The three Genesect seemed incapable of acting without receiving orders. Compared to Metagross, the modified ones were more like machines.
Reshiram's Blue Flare avoided the three Genesect. This was not Su Hao showing mercy; neither he nor Reshiram could sense any emotional fluctuations from them.
Unable to feel desire, they could not be burned by Blue Flare's special effects. With the flames themselves controlled by Reshiram, the three Genesect simply remained where they were, calmly watching Charles, who was presumably their master, writhe in agony amid the flames.
About an hour later, Reshiram gradually withdrew the Blue Flare.
During that time, with nothing better to do, Su Hao activated the Destruction Gene within Metagross again.
