In the core area within the Sea Temple, inside a grand chamber filled with magnificent crystals.
At the center of the room stood a massive ring-shaped crown embedded with crystals that radiated an azure glow. It emanated a heart-pounding purity of Water-type Energy, as though one had been transported into the Primal Sea.
This was Kyogre's final line of defense for the Sea Crown. Without the Prince of the Sea's or its permission, no one could approach the Sea Crown.
Atop the Sea Crown, a water-blue Pokémon that looked like a fairy was enveloped in the Sea Crown's power, receiving the final inheritance as the Prince of the Sea.
It was Manaphy. Once a Phione, the child of the previous Prince of the Sea, it had finally transformed into a new Manaphy after inheriting that legacy over countless years.
Now, at the critical point of its transformation—and with this being its first time as Manaphy—it felt somewhat uncertain. So it had decided to seek protection from one of the two great beings closest to its kind: Lugia, the God of Monsoons and Ocean Currents.
After all, that big fish seemed to still be sleeping soundly, without the slightest response. Lugia, who was in another space, had answered its call instead.
Delighted by the response, Manaphy naturally could not wait to control the Sea Temple and rush toward the direction from which Lugia had replied.
Yet during the ascent, Kyogre's power had actually touched the Sea Temple's barrier. Greatly reassured, Manaphy did not think much of it and directly opened the barrier, allowing "Kyogre" into the temple.
