Medusa Queen was born into the Snake People Clan, whose cold-yin bloodline is fundamentally unsuited to the scorching Tagor Desert. Her foremost ambition was to reach the Dou Ancestor realm, gain influence in the Jia Ma Empire, and lead her people away from the desert. 38 43

She had an elder sister who voluntarily accepted death under the clan rule that only one Medusa Queen could remain alive. Medusa later preserved her sister’s body in an ice crystal coffin and searched for a way to revive her. The loss remained a defining source of grief and anger, particularly toward Hai Bo Dong and the events of twenty years earlier. 42 62 67 131

When Lin Che retrieved the Green Lotus Core Flame from Stone Desert City, Medusa pursued him because the flame had been guarded by generations of Snake People Queens and was essential to her intended evolution.
