Jiang You walked out onto the small balcony, and Red Eye immediately followed her.

The branches of the man-eating tree rapidly twined together on the balcony, forming two vine chairs. Jiang You sat down in one.

Red Eye also sat in the other without hesitation. "What exactly is going on with that guy? Hurry up and tell me!"

Tonight, the moon over Long Mountain was very round, bright enough to cast people's shadows.

Jiang You spoke first. "Potato once told me something: 'When the sun sets, the Source Seed will rot in the soil, and the Black Sea will swallow everything...' Adoptive Father, do you know what this means?"

As he said this, a trace of terror appeared in Red Eye's gaze.

He did not really want to bring up these matters. Originally, humans should never have had anything to do with them.

And the Source Seed refers to those monsters. They trapped themselves in the Land of Origin, like water in a cup. Sooner or later, it would evaporate completely.

The barrier protected them, but it also imprisoned them.

The monster race needed moonlight and sunlight, just as plants needed light.
