Cultivation and Formation

A Nascent Soul is formed by nurturing the cultivator’s soul within the Golden Core until it becomes a Soul Infant. Once the infant matures, it breaks through the Golden Core’s shell; the core must be shattered for the Nascent Soul to emerge. 613 708

The breakthrough requires more than accumulated mana. A cultivator must comprehend Yin and Yang, unite the Five Qi, open the Upper Dantian, and prepare a sufficiently intense soul. Without an opened Upper Dantian, the Nascent Soul has nowhere to reside, making a breakthrough fatal. 508 613 719

The Upper Dantian is also called the Mud Pill Palace. Nascent Soul cultivators visualize it as a palace housing the seated Nascent Soul; this shelter reinforces the soul and protects it from divine-soul attacks. 720 722 727

Nascent Soul Cultivation
