To be honest, I originally planned to push for the top five, or maybe even the top three, this month. I figured that would be enough to show my support.
There are just too many big names out there, and Crimson Moon is still considered a niche novel in terms of genre, so it really doesn't have that much firepower.
But everyone's support was beyond my expectations...
On top of that, with the support of Noah's Ark, Schrödinger's Coconut Cat, and several other big names, I actually, actually...
Actually made it to first place!!
Even if it's the kind of first place where my asshole could get stabbed at any moment, first place is still first place! (One hand on my waist, the other covering my buttocks.)
I was so moved that I just hugged my cat and cried in the bathroom.
Then, after being egged on by certain readers (Gege Wu, Sisi, and all the black-hearted big shots in the alliance group), I developed a tiny bit of ambition I probably shouldn't have. I started wondering whether I could use this opportunity to make a run at first place in this month's monthly-ticket rankings.
To be honest, the odds aren't very good anymore. After all, both Demon Kings have started new books.
But no matter what, from the time Crimson Moon was first published until now, it started as something I wrote casually just to improve my mood. Then, after receiving everyone's support and recognition, I fleshed out the outline and settings. And now, I've written nearly three million words. At its peak, it reached third place in monthly tickets, and even at its lowest, it still managed to stay in the top ten without ever falling out.
So making one attempt at first place should be
