Yang Xiao took a look around after work, but there was clearly no sign of Huahua. If finding that dog were this easy, the old lady wouldn't be so anxious.

There was no point rushing this either, so Yang Xiao simply headed home. On the way, he passed Fat Bro's Ramen and stopped in for a meal. Fat Boss was as warm and welcoming as ever.

After eating, Yang Xiao didn't go straight home. He rested a bit at Fat Boss's place, then jogged straight to Seaside Park, circling half the park. Of course, he avoided the area where All Might and Izuku Midoriya were training—he never went near that zone.

Seaside Park was huge. For Yang Xiao, that run was just a warm-up. Now he had to start training his Quirk. Seven or eight months—long when you think about it, short when you don't. For Yang Xiao, time was tight.

The other three transmigrators also knew about each other. And Yang Xiao had already seen glimpses of the future—those three must have seen their own versions too. Back then, standing on the rooftop, Yang Xiao could only see the other three from his own perspective.

The other three could only see the rest from theirs. So Yang Xiao had no idea what he himself would look like five years from now. All he could do was push forward, or else face elimination.

And what did elimination mean?

Death!

Death was everyone's final destination, but Yang Xiao didn't want to die a violent death. Maybe if he pushed his Quirk to its absolute limit, something fundamental would shift—maybe he could extend his lifespan, or even reach some unimaginable level?

"Power converges to a single point—one point breaks all!" Yang Xiao muttered, standing in front of a discarded refrigerator. He raised his right hand, gathering Holy Light Energy into his index finger. The energy slowly pooled there. Suddenly, his eyes sharpened, and he thrust his finger forward.

Thud!

A heavy impact rang out. A golden beam shot from Yang Xiao's finger, piercing straight through the refrigerator and blasting a hole twenty centimeters wide—like it had been hit by a long-range Bullet. The force wasn't quite that strong, but the damage was similar.

"Damn, that's strong," Yang Xiao whispered, staring at his finger with excitement. A faint golden glow slowly faded from it.

He didn't let the thrill cloud his judgment. He focused, pulling the Holy Light down to his right foot—just the foot, since he could only cover the area of a palm or sole for now.

"Go!" Yang Xiao kicked out hard, striking the middle of the refrigerator. A dull boom echoed as the fridge flew seven or eight meters away, a deep footprint gouged into its side. That fridge was completely wrecked now.

Yang Xiao didn't stop training. He coated every part of his body with Holy Light—including his eyes.

That time, he was genuinely shocked. When Holy Light covered his eyes, his vision sharpened at least twofold. Objects that had been blurry in the distance were now crystal clear.

"What if I cover my brain with it?" Yang Xiao experimented. The Holy Light energy seeped into his head, but it could only wrap around half of it. Unfortunately, nothing miraculous happened—he just felt his mind was clearer than before.

But that didn't discourage him. The Holy Light Quirk was already incredibly strong. If he kept training and improving it, his future abilities would absolutely surpass most other Quirks.

Hours later, it was past midnight. Yang Xiao sat on the ground, drenched in sweat, catching his breath. Over the past few hours, he'd moved most of the piled-up junk nearby—half with brute force, half with his Quirk. That way, he trained both his ability and his stamina.

"Time to head back. I've got a shift tomorrow morning..." Yang Xiao sighed and stood up.

"Hang in there, Midoriya boy! Your hard work will pay off. Good job!"

Voices rang out in the distance. Yang Xiao immediately coated his eyes with Holy Light and looked toward the sound. There was Izuku Midoriya, carrying something heavy on his back—looked like iron plates—running with gritted teeth.

Behind him, All Might was smiling and cheering him on. Now that was a good teacher.

Yang Xiao didn't linger. He turned and left in the opposite direction. Midoriya trained much later than he did—there was no helping it. His natural physique wasn't great, so he had to spend tons of time building up his body to handle One For All.

Training late wasn't a problem. Getting into U.A. High School was what mattered. Right now, nothing was more important to Midoriya than that. That was the whole point of his training.

Yang Xiao was different. He had no family in this world. He just had to take care of himself—no need to train this late, since he had to work during the day.

Midoriya had his mom at home, so he had almost no financial pressure.

Yang Xiao had to earn money just to survive. They weren't the same.

Still, Problem Solver gave him weekends off—or he could work through them for extra pay.

He was definitely taking weekends off. His body needed proper recovery for better training results.

Once home, Yang Xiao took a hot shower and went straight to sleep. The next morning at eight, he reported back to Problem Solver. The day only brought two or three jobs.

Today's jobs weren't bad—nothing like digging out a stinking sewer drain yesterday. Someone was moving, and Yang Xiao got to be the muscle.

He actually liked moving work—it built strength. The other jobs were pretty similar.

A week later, on his way to Seaside Park, Yang Xiao suddenly spotted that dog, Huahua. She was scavenging for food in an alley. She looked filthy—her fur was black with grime, and she seemed thinner.

Just as Yang Xiao was about to walk over and pick her up, a man in his thirties came from the other side. Seeing Yang Xiao about to grab the dog, he snapped, "Kid, go play somewhere else. That dog's mine."

Yang Xiao paused, then realized—this guy was trying to claim Huahua. From the look of him, this wasn't his first time pulling something like this.

"How can you prove she's yours?" Yang Xiao said calmly. "She's filthy, hasn't been bathed in days, and she's skinny. No way she's a house pet."

Yang Xiao wasn't scared of this guy. If it came to a fight, he'd actually welcome the chance to test his Quirk. He hadn't had anyone to spar with in months. If this guy didn't know when to back off, he was asking for it.

The man was taken aback. He hadn't expected some teenager to talk back. Usually, kids his age would shut up and scram when spoken to like that. But today, he'd run into a busybody.
