Of course, although it was a romance movie, Yuko had looked into it before bringing Seiya to see it. There were no adult-only scenes in the film.
Otherwise, she definitely would not have brought Seiya to the movies.
Though she was a doujinshi artist herself, she paid close attention to Seiya's physical and mental well-being.
Whenever she worked on her creations, she also forbade Seiya from entering her room, lest he see something he should not and be led astray.
What Yuko did not know was that Seiya only looked like a child. His soul was far more mature than hers.
What Yuko knew, Seiya knew too. What Yuko did not know, Seiya knew as well.
And as for those doujinshi books Yuko kept hidden away, Seiya had already read who knew how many of them.
As for his impression of them... Seiya could only say they were average.
Yuko's art style was flawless, but as a doujinshi artist, her ideas were still not broad enough.
Or, to put it simply... she was not perverted enough to keep the old horny bastards interested.
Still, that was not really her fault. Yuko had both looks and a great figure, but she was still a young girl in the bloom of youth and had been single since birth. It was only natural that she lacked inspiration.
As an experienced driver in his previous life, Seiya had plenty of themes and ideas he could offer her. Unfortunately, given his current age and identity, he really was not suited to offering suggestions. Otherwise, he would truly be seen as some perverted little brat.
As the lights around them dimmed, the movie began.
Since it was a romance film, the opening was fairly standard. It did not ruin the original work, but there was nothing particularly outstanding about it either.
Soon, however, when the plot reached the part where the young heroine was chased deep into the mountains and encountered a wild wolf, the film reached its first minor climax.
In the original anime, the young kendo swordsman was extremely capable in a fight. After all, the only difference between anime and film was that anime could use drawings to recreate all kinds of scenes.
Even scenes that were fantastical and utterly unscientific in reality could be brought to life in anime.
But in reality, fighting a wolf and matching it blow for blow was something even adults might not be able to do, let alone an underage child.
The scene of the young kendo swordsman fighting the wolf was a climactic moment in the anime, but anime fans all knew that it would be difficult to recreate in a film.
Going by the usual habits of live-action anime adaptations, this scene would most likely be cut or altered.
Yet when the boy holding a Bamboo Sword appeared on the massive screen, raising his head with a resolute expression and revealing those unyielding eyes, every audience member present was stunned!
"Is this a damn movie or an anime? What is up with that kid? That is Sōya himself, isn't it?!"
"Can someone please tell me that kid is computer-generated and not actually real?
Seeing him makes me feel like I have wasted my entire life. If I really had to fight that kid, I would probably not even be able to beat a child!"
"Holy shit, this kid is incredible! What kendo family did he come from? He actually went to make a cameo in someone else's production!"
"..."
Everyone knew that a theater had to remain quiet during a movie.
Yet when they watched the scene of Seiya fighting the wolf—especially the moment Seiya used his Bamboo Sword to hold back the wolf's teeth while its saliva kept dripping onto his face—quite a few people still let out involuntary cries of amazement.
Most teenagers who liked anime had a strong case of chuunibyou. When they saw Seiya's crisp sword swings and how he got back up again and again, they instantly felt as though they were in his shoes. Their chuunibyou souls erupted as they shouted that the boy in the movie was Sōya himself.
"Sōya" was the name of the young kendo swordsman, as well as the male lead during his childhood in the film.
For a time, the previously silent theater erupted into chaos. It was not until theater staff arrived that the audience finally quieted down.
For a movie that ran nearly two hours, a five-minute fight scene was neither particularly long nor particularly short.
When the boy played by Seiya was knocked off the cliff, the people in the theater all heaved a heavy sigh.
Yuko, who had been sitting beside Seiya from the start, had tightly gripped his wrist throughout the entire fight with the wolf.
She had used so much strength that if Seiya's constitution had not changed dramatically after sharing abilities, an ordinary five-year-old would never have been able to endure such treatment.
When Seiya finally fell helplessly from the cliff, Yuko, who was obviously far too absorbed in the movie, anxiously yanked Seiya beside her over with one hand and tightly hugged his head.
His head suddenly sank deep into the East African Rift Valley, and a fragrant scent rushed into his nostrils. But before long, Seiya felt an intense sense of suffocation...
"Yuko, I can't breathe... That was only acting, but if you don't let go, I really... am going to die..."
Hearing Seiya's broken voice, Yuko snapped back to her senses and realized that she had gotten a little too excited.
When she saw Seiya at her chest, looking as though he was about to suffocate, Yuko hurriedly loosened her hold and said, "Sorry, sorry. The kid in there looks exactly like you, Seiya.
"And I never expected little Seiya to act so well. For a moment, I really thought you were in danger."
Although Seiya's scenes on the screen had already ended, Yuko clearly had not yet recovered from her shock.
Her praise for Seiya just now was not encouragement or comfort. She truly thought his acting was exceptionally good.
Whether it was his movements or expressions, she found it hard to believe that Seiya, a five-year-old child, could perform to that extent.
At the same time, she finally understood why Madam Arima had said earlier that Seiya could win Director Okawa's appreciation.
Looking at Seiya, who was still sitting on her lap, Yuko rubbed his head and could not help smiling. "I really never thought our little Seiya would have such talent."
Seiya's scenes were over, but Yuko and Seiya still patiently watched the entire movie to the end.
Seiya had wanted to return to his own seat, but Yuko treated him like a doll and kept him pressed onto her lap.
When Seiya gave her a puzzled look, Yuko said, "I'm so afraid that Seiya might suddenly run into danger, just like in the movie. My sister is still lying unconscious in the hospital, and now little Seiya, you're my only family...
"And you're only five years old. It is fine to act spoiled with an adult every now and then."
