It seemed that not only communications had been disrupted; the power supply in some areas had also encountered problems.

When Arno entered the public restroom, everything around him was dim, with only an emergency light inside still glowing. Arno shook his head and muttered that he was unlucky before quickly placing his backpack on the sink and taking out clean clothes to change into.

He was just about to take off his shirt when he seemed to think of something. After lifting it less than halfway, he immediately lowered it again, then cautiously glanced around.

Finally, he seemed to see a black shadow in the mirror... standing behind him!

Arno was startled and quickly spun around. A chill of horror swept over him—at some unknown point, someone had silently appeared behind him.

He could tell it was a woman... but she seemed to have her head lowered. Her long, wet hair hung messily over her face, and her entire body was soaked.

She looked like someone who had been rescued after nearly drowning and left by the shore. Through the gaps in her hair, Arno vaguely saw a pair of eyes filled with hatred.

The sudden fright made Arno stagger backward into the sink. His hands instinctively grabbed it to steady himself. At that moment, the disheveled woman's arm suddenly moved!

It was a Western-style table knife—the kind used to cut steak!

The knife pressed directly against Arno's throat. The hard touch made him feel a chill run through him. He did not dare move, afraid that if she pressed forward again, the knife would pierce his throat. If that happened, only death awaited him.

"Don't do anything rash!" Arno shouted nervously.

"Where is it!" the other party shrieked, raising her head at the same time.
