This zombie janitor had already become immersed in the pleasure of devouring fresh flesh and blood. He had no idea that when he lowered his head to bite the body of the already dead bodyguard again, Elizabeth was quickly approaching him.

Without special stimulation, zombies... living dead would not react much to vampires. The zombies that attacked vampires in the maze beneath the castle were merely a special case. The reason behind it was that Karen Ichel was controlling them.

By then, Elizabeth had already reached the zombie janitor. Her palm flashed swiftly, and the zombie's head was sliced off and fell to the ground.

Beheading... The cruel method made Zhong Luoyue feel somewhat uncomfortable, but she said nothing. She adapted quickly—she understood that if the heads of these living-dead zombies were not destroyed, they would never stop.

Elizabeth turned around and said, "Yue'er, this hospital is filled with the smell of corpses. I'm afraid quite a few people have already turned into zombies."

Zhong Luoyue asked nervously, "Elizabeth, are these zombies really like the ones in the movies? If they bite someone, will that person turn into a zombie?"

Elizabeth shook her head. "I don't know what those movies you mentioned are actually like. Watching movies is too much of a waste of time for me. Generally speaking, though, some people won't transform even if they're bitten, because of their constitution. But they're ultimately very few in number."

"Even that would be an immeasurable disaster... if it really broke out." Zhong Luoyue frowned.

Elizabeth nodded. "Yes. If all humans turned into zombies, vampires would no longer have fresh blood to drink. Generally speaking, zombies can survive for around fifty years. That seems to be their limit. Their bodies continue to rot when exposed to the air, eventually decaying completely.
