History

Founding and decline

The Glazed Sword Sect was founded in the Southern Barrens by Glazed Saint Yun Shengjun, who chose to establish his legacy there rather than remain in the Central Barrens. In his era, the sect could contend with ancient Holy Lands of the Central Barrens, while subordinate forces such as the Misty Sect, Eight Trigrams Gate, and Lingyun Sword Sect deferred to it. 246 494

The sect’s fortunes collapsed after Glazed Saint’s apparent death around ten thousand years before the story. The Glazed Sword and Glazed Pagoda were damaged during the great war, Glazed Peak’s inheritance was severed, and the former first-rate force fell near the bottom of the second-rate factions in the Southern Barrens. 4 44

Glazed Peak suffered most severely. Though it had once been the strongest of the eight main peaks, its damaged inheritance sword left it without a true disciple for a period and eventually contributed to the loss of a formal Sect Master. Black Flame Dao Master administered the sect’s affairs for roughly two thousand years. 4 459

Restoration under Fang Chen

Fang Chen became True Person Liuli’s direct disciple and Glazed Peak’s Holy Son after receiving the Glazed Sword’s inheritance. His connection with the damaged sword caused its Sword Intent to resurface and marked the beginning of Glazed Peak’s revival. 90 92

After Fang Chen became a Saint, he eliminated the Misty Sect, Eight Trigrams Gate, and Lingyun Sword Sect—the three former subordinate powers that had become the sect’s principal regional enemies. The sect openly confronted the Buddhist Kingdom and later endured repeated attacks from both the Buddhist Kingdom and the Ye Family. Anticipating an attack by the Quasi-Emperor Great Sun Buddha Lord, Yun Qianxue dispersed the sect’s members and arranged refuge through the South Sea Dragon Clan rather than risk a massacre. 656 834 1206

Eight main peaks
