Entering the hall, Elysia found Eden, Mobius, and Aponia also there.
"Oh? Why are you all here? Strange, I don't remember today being anything special."
Mobius immediately flashed a mocking expression: "Elysia, do you think everyone's like you, throwing parties every few days? A Herrscher stepping foot here for the first time in fifty thousand years—this is a rare research opportunity."
Unlike the Jackal outside, Mobius, as a data lifeform, knew full well the Herrscher of Corruption stood before her, yet still wore an excited look.
But a brief observation revealed that beneath her fervor for the Herrscher, from the moment Elysia returned to the hall, she had visibly let out a sigh of relief.
"Is that so, Mobius? But every team-building event, no matter how busy your experiments were, you never showed up late. When everyone sat together chatting, you were clearly happy too, weren't you?"
The Sea of Quanta was a space built from the memories of thirteen people, and Enoshia could clearly sense that among the twelve's emotional fluctuations, Eden, Aponia, and Mobius were the most intense.
Who was the strongest in the Sea of Quanta? Without a doubt, Kevin. What was the hardest thing in the Sea of Quanta? Without a doubt, Snake-Snake's mouth.
Enoshia fully understood their tension—after all, among the Herrschers of the Previous Civilization, aside from Elysia, not a single one could communicate like a normal person.
Watching Mobius turn her head away with a tsundere look, she knew what she needed to confirm was done. The Flame-Chasers were still the Flame-Chasers in her memory, unchanged by any timeline shifts. It was time for her to leave.
The Imaginary Tree was an excellent training ground in many ways, but it simply wasn't suited for her, the Herrscher of Corruption. When all information in the Tree became known without exploration, and battles against the Flame-Chasers required no thought—just a flick of the finger to win—it clearly lost its meaning as a trial.
After Enoshia left, Aponia and Su thoroughly inspected the entire Tree several times but found nothing wrong.
"Oh dear, that won't do. Everyone united against her and made her leave disheartened. Next time she comes, we'll have to apologize properly."
Aponia nodded: "Sorry, Elysia. My judgment was flawed. When the Herrscher of Corruption cut off my and Su's observation, I instinctively thought she would take the opportunity to do something. Now it seems she was merely stating a fact: she could destroy everything with a single press, yet she didn't. Without a doubt, that's the best proof she possesses humanity."
Aponia saw joy written all over Elysia's face. This might be the happiest she had been in fifty thousand years.
After leaving the Sea of Quanta, Enoshia returned to Sirin's villa. Her trip to the Tree was far less relaxed and carefree than Aponia had described.
Without a doubt, everything in the Tree was essentially data. The anti-Kevin armament 666, capable of deleting the entire Tree with one click, was fundamentally just a program.
Since it was a program, why couldn't the Herrscher of Corruption, nearly invincible in the Data Space in the original story, simply bypass its usage conditions and directly tamper with it to eliminate this threat, instead of going through such a roundabout way?
The answer was simple: she couldn't. When Enoshia first entered the Tree, she indeed felt everything was under her control, but she quickly noticed something wrong. There were places in the Tree she couldn't even view, let alone modify.
It turned out that locations like the anti-Kevin armament 666, which could affect the entire Tree, were equipped with the ultimate firewall invented by Dr. MEI and repeatedly improved by Vill-V.
Practice proved the truth: this firewall successfully blocked her, a Herrscher-level virus. The rule that "only Elysia has permission to use the anti-Kevin armament 666" was something even the Herrscher of Corruption had to obey.
But thinking about it, in the original story, the Herrscher of Corruption of the current civilization was, like the Herrscher of Wind, impressive in ability description but pathetic in achievements and performance. Supposedly like the End in the virtual world, it ended up dying alongside a bunch of digital lifeforms in an offline network. It couldn't even kill a single real person, let alone affect the order of the real world.
One of the conditions of Enoshia's deal with World Serpent was to give Cecilia, Sirin, Bella, and perhaps future Ivan, the opportunity to train in the Sea of Quanta without joining World Serpent. After all, that was a place that truly transformed people.
Some time later, she introduced the Sea of Quanta and the Fusion Warriors to the others as concisely as possible. After all, exploring from the unknown to the known was also an important growth experience.
"I never thought there was such a place in the world..." Cecilia was deeply shaken after hearing the introduction.
"I won't introduce more. I'll leave it for you to discover bit by bit."
Sirin was noncommittal about Enoshia's suggestion.
"The people there... well, they're certainly all unique, but they're actually good people. Just think of it as... an immersive exploration game—go through the levels and beat the monsters."
Enoshia knew emphasizing they were heroes meant nothing to Sirin. To convince her to go to the Sea of Quanta, she had to address the root cause.
"I'll go when I want to."
Fortunately, the Pufferfish was still open to advice.
"Oh, right, Lady Cecilia. After over half a year of construction, St. Freya Academy has taken initial shape."
"So fast?"
"Yes. It should officially open around 2005. Since it was your 'lifetime' wish, there was no opposition. Theresa will serve as the Headmaster of St. Freya Academy in her capacity as the leader of the Far East Branch."
"Sigh, poor Theresa, having to handle so many things and also look after Kiana and Siegfried. If I were here..."
At those words, Sirin's face showed worry.
"Sigh, I know what you both mean. In everyone's eyes, I'm dead now, so I'm actually the safest. But Kiana is my child too, and I haven't fulfilled my duty as a mother. I feel guilty."
"Don't worry. You'll truly come back to life one day. Your family will eventually reunite, every single one of you."
