Su Mo had a dream.
A strange yet strangely familiar dream.
He dreamed that he was falling from high in the sky, crashing down in front of a boundless High Wall.
The wall was not built from ordinary bricks and stones, but from individual hexagonal panes of glass.
Countless panes overlapped one another, allowing him to vaguely see something moving behind the wall.
Time seemed to have lost all meaning here, leaving only two choices: moving forward or moving backward.
Following the glass, he could only walk aimlessly.
But then the scene suddenly shifted. Su Mo realized that his perspective had already left the body slowly moving below and flown into the sky.
Yet the body below continued moving slowly.
Until—
It encountered a piece of black glass in the crystal-clear wall that looked as though it had been infected by mold.
Su Mo tried to drive his consciousness toward the abnormal pane of glass.
But before he could reach it, the body walking along the ground leaped up first and touched the glass.
It instantly shattered into powder.
Boom!
A thunderous roar erupted across the High Wall.
A tremendous suction force came from the wall, as though it had triggered a defensive mechanism meant to purge all outsiders who came here.
Su Mo instinctively tried to flee, but he helplessly realized that his consciousness was far too slow after leaving his body.
Even at full speed, the distance between him and the black glass continued shrinking.
Foot by foot.
Inch by inch.
As the distance narrowed, the suction force from the glass grew stronger.
At the same time, repeated prayers continued to ring out.
"Give up! Give up! Give up!"
The voice pierced his ears like demonic chanting. It seemed capable of destroying a person's will, slowing his consciousness
