Closing Remarks
It took a little over half a year and just under 1.6 million characters, but this book has finally been completed!
Although quite a few readers didn't want it to end, hoping I would continue with Boruto or move on to another world and keep courting death,
Old Faceless thought about it at length and listened to many people's opinions. I felt that starting in the Hokage World and ending in the Hokage World, making up for all the regrets and giving everyone proper closure, would be the best ending.
To be honest, continuing to write would be very beneficial for Old Faceless, since I could use the book's current performance to keep making money—and make it quite easily.
But there's no need for that. If the later world turned out badly or I abandoned the book halfway through, it might instead damage my reputation.
It was better to end things cleanly and decisively right now, give myself a vacation, and then seriously begin a new book after I returned.
So all I can do is apologize to the readers who are still reluctant to part with the book.
I hope I'll still be able to see every one of you when the new book sets sail!
Also, regarding the question of the heroine, Old Faceless indeed didn't write one.
How about that? You didn't see it coming, did you?
There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's hearts. Whoever you think is the heroine can be the heroine of this book in your heart.
If I had simply given the protagonist a heroine at the very end, it would have been taking the easy way out.
So Old Faceless didn't do that.
I might write a few bonus chapters later about things everyone wants to see.
