Amid the ruins of Earth Hall, Liu Xi strode forward. Nothing remained here but crumbling walls and broken stones; there was scarcely any sign of life.

Anything of value had been on people's bodies. The Vice Hall Master, along with several Venerables' corpses and Storage Rings, had already been taken by Liu Xi.

Only the broken Soul Locks remained, still linked to withered souls. Liu Xi had little time and raced against every second. In the end, he sensed pure Soul Origin in the center of the main hall.

His foot stamped the ground. His Black Robe fluttered with a sharp rustle as the hidden force within erupted. With a boom, the ground exploded into a massive pit several zhang wide.

Within the pit lay countless Soul Locks. At its very center stood a raised platform carved with strange runes that seemed almost alive, like an altar. And atop that altar was the Soul Origin Liu Xi had been yearning for.

One end of the Soul Locks connected to the Soul Origin, while the other split into ever more branches. Every Soul Lock was linked to numerous souls, extracting the Soul Origin from those people.

Liu Xi jumped into the pit. He could still sense faint threads of resentful obsession lingering within the Soul Origin. If someone absorbed such things, they would suffer memory disorder at best and become an idiot at worst.

"I have avenged you. I have destroyed Soul Hall. I have killed them too. If you can sense this, then let go of your obsessions and disperse."

Liu Xi was merely saying it. It would be best if those obsessions dispersed, but if they clung on and refused to leave, he would thoroughly refine them before absorbing the Soul Origin next time.
